Hey guys!

So i did my 1st BB upgrade, from a 8520 to a 9800

Two questions at first:

- How long does the battery last for lets say, a person that uses the mailing system alot,uses net, and this CB App. With the 3G on, plz.

- How can i watch Youtube videos? Let's says someone posts something here or on FB. Can i watch it?

- How hard is it to change a housing? Just the frontal one.

i also own a torch 9800. i am a hardcore user. i charge my cellfone upto 100% and i get a battry backup from 7am morning to 5pm evening. i just use internet browser, use whats app and attend few calls. i think this battery sucks?

Ok.

Today i charged mine at 9:45am and it's 5:25pm and it still has about 50% batt. But it's been on 2G.

I would really like see some Youtube vids :S

And it's normal for it to spend 10mb of net in one day?(In my Curve the average was 5mb/day). Any background app i should know?

You need to make sure you exit and close any apps, especially GPS apps. Press and hold the BB key. It will popup a screen showing apps running in the background.

What can you tell about the Torch's size? Isn't it too big to carry around in hands or pocket? Is it too heavy? What about the touch screen? Is it responsive?

Hey/Boas!

I had a 8520 and i don't feel any big diference between them both.

The screen is very responsive, but overall the phone is kinda slow(i had great expectations), but nothing you can't work around.

I'm about to go Hybrid(first on the 8520) to see if can gain some extra speed, but i'm glad with the phone as it is!

Are you about to buy a new or a used?

Thanks for your reply. Is the Torch really slow? Hum... that's leave me with a foot behind.

Actually i don't know. Never had a BB so my idea was to get a used one just to see if the OS, and the experience itself, was adequate to my needs.
But when i try to search for used devices like 9700, 9780, 9360 and Torch, it seems that they MUST have gold inside... prices are way way high... or are in pretty bad cosmetic condition.
Also, when i ask if the PIN is released, people say "i don't know what that is" or "yes, i've used it with different carriers" LOL at them! But i'm patient... i can wait for THAT deal to come. Meanwhile, sold both my Nokia N8 and Nokia E63 and now have a 30 euros Sonyericsson W200i... LOL at me!

You can 2nd handed Torchs from 150E(mine was 200,but its red lol)

But even kinda slow, i love my Torch! Its still a great machine!
