Default small white dot to the left of letter 'D' on keyboard

Does anyone know it's significance, if any?

My guess is that is where you will know automatically that you are on the number pad.

Mine doesn't have that, but above it and slightly to the right there is an acrylic bump that lets you know where the "5" key is (same thing is on most keyboard numpads)

Oh, yes, I guess it was a black bump on the D/5 key that got it's paint worn off so now the backlight comes through, so it's now white..funny I never felt it before..as numpad recognition..thanks for both your replys, helpful!
