I would have to guess November of 2010 just as the previous poster did. I'm using that date for the simple reason the RIM can capitalize on the Christmas buying season and use an ad blitz to roll out the phone. The only other date I see on the horizon is August 2010 to take advantage of the Back-to-School crowd. Of course I'm probably being over optimistic but sooner is better in my opinion.
I think July/August of this year. It seems like the webkit browser is just about ready to release and the new OS is coming along relatively soon (this year). I wouldn't be surprised if this phone was nearly completed at this time and close to being ready for mass production. I bet this phone comes out shortly after (or as the first to have) the new OS 6.0.
That depens on weather they rush it or not. If they do then Nove 2010, if not then Spring 2012. I think Kevin's summer 2010 date is way off. RIM does not even have all devices on OS 5.0 yet let alone 6.0! People woulds cream bloody murder and RIM knows that.

The Iphone 4G is expected in June-July thats t=why it would make sense for RIM to release a phone in the same time frame. By November RIM will have lost a lot of users for the Iphone and probably a new Android device by then.

Another Android device? There are new Android devices coming out every couple weeks or so now ;-) Devour just came out, Backflip, CliqXT, Nexus One for VZW and AT&T, Desire, not to mention the ones we don't have a final name or release on yet. The market is being flooded with them.
iPhone 4 will be more of the same with a few minor upgrades, nothing to worry about. If RIM is smart they will focus on making a solid product. If they get too involved in what iPhone is doing then they will have a repeat of the Storm1 on their hands and that happening twice in two years will do a lot more harm to the brand than an iPhone that MAY allow you to run 3 apps at a time or whatever other "feature" they hype this year...
Q4 2010 feels right to me I agree I think RIM will want it out before Christmas and certainly post webkit I think everything will be post webkit now folks (sorry folks waiting on the tour2/bold2). I think Kevin's summer prediction is optimistic but who knows? Oct/Nov is what I'm feeling and I think verizon will put out the storm 3 (with webkit) around then too.

I expect to see this some time this summer, to go up against the iPhone. Hopefully RIM will have a new OS ready as well. We'll leave the end of the year for the Storm 3

This is exactly my thinking, especially if it's a part of the Bold lineup.
I was just up at AT&T earlier this week and asked one of the reps when theyre getting a new BB and he said the BB rep was in last week and theyre getting some new devices in Q2. i highly doubt it will be this one but there's always wishful thinking!
