So, I have been having this problem with my Torch for a while, and I never had this problem with any other Berry before...so I wanted to ask if anyone else suffered from this.

First off, I noticed right off the bat that the Torch's lock button is much more sensitive than any other BB I have/had. I use an AGF-GRT case now, and with this it is less of a problem, however prior to that I had an OtterBox case, and with that almost always when I would pull my phone out of my pocket something would be on the screen like an App launching or something that I didnt want happening.

I was wanting to find out if anyone has experienced this..or does my Torch just have a hyper sensitive lock button? :S

The lock button can be easy to click but I dont like putting my phones in my pockets as over time, lint and dust can get under the screen. I use a belt pouch

Yup I have similar problems. I have a password on my phone though, so instead of starting apps, my phone dials the emergency services.

I use the OEM leather pocket pouch and never have this problem. Pouch put's it to sleep and you have to grab the sides of the phone to pull it out.

Yes the lock is a viable solution. I keep mine in an OEM 9000 holster that Ive had for a few years. It fits (snugly) even with an Otter Commuter on it.

You are not alone, many have complained about this! My hypothesis is that everyone at RIM wears a holster, so they never bothered to test it in pocket.

See this link for discussion of various apps one can use as a workaround

Well, I am glad to hear I am not alone in this...at least for those who dont use holsters/pouches. I am just not the type of person that will EVER clip their phone to their belt :P.

Im going to download PatternLock and see how that is! Hopefully it will work!
