Since i have had the Torch 9800 some other handsets can't read my text messages sent via sms. These phones could read all sms's sent via my previous phone, the Curve 8900.
Any idea what could be the problem?
Error message on recipient phones is something like "...contents of this message cannot be displayed..."
try contacting your provider to ensure all the SMS settings are correct in your device.
the only thing i could think of is in the SMS options. the data coding for my phone is on 7-bit as opposed to UCS2. maybe check to make sure its set properly.

well like i said, you may need to check with your carrier. i dont know what they will require your settings to be set at.
