Been trying to fix my nuked torch for a while now. I've followed to prescribed techniques on ths forum (many times!), but my issue seems to be the app loader. When the app loader wizard opens the instruction shows COM1, I only have a blank box, then when I plug my beloved in, i don't see the USB PIN: UNKNOWN, my BB's pin comes up. I've tried several variations but have had no luck. I am looking for some options, if anyone has had overcome this please let me know.

Try rebooting your computer then plugging in your phone before you click on Loader in the AppLoader file. Your pin number should come up in the box.

Try using rapido installer, just googling this "rapido installer for blackberry 9800"
Download it, execute, connect your phone, just wait until the proccess complete, and done!
