Hi this is my first smart phone so far i love it but i was wondering what does it mean to have a jailbroken phone and is it worth doing to your phone or will it void warranty? thanks
Jailbroken refers to iOS devices like iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch and not BlackBerry. With this posted in the 9800 forum, I am imaging thats the device your referring too.
yes i have a torch and im new to it never had an iphone either and just have heard the term "jailbroken" and was wondering what it meant but since it doesnt apply to my phone then i guess it dont matter then! =)
My other question then is what does it mean to unlock your torch? thanks

Unlocking would mean you would be able to use the phone on another GSM carrier such as T Mobile. Unlocking does not void warranty but is good for resale as it opens the phone up to other potential buyers or even if you wanted to leave Att for Tmo or you were going overseas and wanted to use your phone on a network there
Garz: Does an unlocked Torch that is on AT&T or any other Carrier, is it effected by the the 3G? Meaning you will "not" have 3G capiblity on a 3G service with an unlocked Torch?
All unlocking does is allow it to be used with another carriers sim card(GSM network). Unfortunately At&T uses different bands for 3g then t-mo, so there's no 3g on t-mo.
Unlocking the device then using it on AT&T's network would be no different then not even unlocking it to begin with.
