I just noticed last night that when viewing a text message thread you can swipe across the screen to see other conversations. The conversations are in chronological order.
Also, you can swipe across an email to see the email before or after the current one.
This just seemed pretty neat to me, it may not be news to anyone else but I thought I would post it just in case. If anybody knows of other tips please post here because I would like to know them!
