Lock button issues

My lock button doesn't feel the same way it used to. I'm not sure if it is just regular wear and tear but when ever I push down on it, it does not go down all the way. A few weeks ago I could literally hear a squeak when ever I pushed down on the lock button but that went away. Now it just doesn't go down all the way and doesn't have the feel of a full button push in comparison to the mute button.

I was wondering if anyone else out there was having this problem too and if so, is this covered under manufacturer's warranty? Has anyone else had this happen and if so what did you do about it?
