I've been trying to link my email to my phone but it's not working! I've got it set to forward to an email that is linked to my phone, but I want to take away the forwarding part and just have it sent to my phone. It's a google mail account, but not @gmail.com. It keeps saying it isn't verified or something. Help?
I had the same problem with my school E-mail. Even though its a google mail account, its technically not GOOGLE. Here's what I did.
1. Create an actual @gmail.com account on google
2. Forward your school e-mails to the newly created @gmail.com account
3. Link the @gmail.com account to your blackberry.
The mail forwarding through gmail is almost instantaneous
1) Download google's gmail app
2) Sign in usuing my student email address and password as my login info
I still have my email forwarded but what it allows me to do now is respond from my @carrier.blackberry.net as if I were logged into my student mail account.
The only way to get "real-time" push is to setup the email on your BB, vs logging on though gmail "web"
Pretty basic setup for experienced BB users and I'm guessing the majority of you are newbies (no offense)
