Browser tab is vast improving or I miss this one. With latest version 723, I can add more tabs to 10 tabs without crash system. I can visited 10 different website. One of most cool is I can swipe move tabs Window to other side in front or other side of end tabs. Also when I turn off my Torch 9800 and then turn on Torch and see if those 10 tabs do remain, and yes they are do remain there and can browse all of 10 tabs windows. I didn't know this new feature when I was 666 version. Love this tabs feature now. Try this one browswe tabs. I haven't try more than 10 tabs to see if system can holding or crash. Just keep playing on Tabs and u will learn this new feature.

hi all! thanks for all the infos that i've gotten so far from this forum! updated my torch to .723, done everything according to the crackberry book, and it all went fine. This os seems a bit faster, native browser is a bit faster too, but app world is just about to die... it's slow as , it takes ages for loading... and ages to download an app....

All in all, everything seems OK, apart from App World, which is annoingly slow...

does anyone encountered the same problem? is there a fix to this?
i will download the beta 3.1, today, and will see what happens...

Again, thank you all for all the infos!
Keep up the good work!

Sorted the App World problem somehow...
Downloaded v3.1.1.15 which is a beta version ... Still! This is how App World should work! Fast!

Well, this one proved the old adage "if it ain't broke...". I ended up with trouble after doing the install and had to wipe and start over. For some reason, it didn't do a full backup, so I ended up losing a couple weeks worth of texts, etc. No big deal.

The silver lining is I finally got rid of the stupid AT&T address book.

So far after 2 weeks of use:
-battery ok, same as 666 and 448
-3G signal less stable, switching often to EDGE and even GPRS where with 666 I had stable 3G and rarely a switch to EDGE (and never to GPRS)
-internet browsing, same issue as 666, i have to click always two times a link to get it working. First click goes to the browser, starts loading and hangs. Second click loads the page completely
-fast boot time compared to previous versions
-phone is responsive, no hour glass seen so far

Arrow Update Completed...but had a couple issues

Well i updated last night using desktop manager. It detected the update with no problem and the phone updated and booted up quite smoothly.

My apps needed to be updated once again, (as I usually do after an upgrade) So I went into App world. Appworld requested I needed to download and install a software update called Blackberry Contact ID. So I did and the phone rebooted......after that I could NOT get back onto BIS. Did numerous battery pulls...still nothing.

I decided to restore the apps from the BBSAk backup I did prior to updating.....it worked!!! App world then request I enter Username and Password...then I was good to go. That never happened before and have no idea why it did. Appworld and Whats app work as normal for me...no lag or issues there.

I upgraded from .666 and the phone is more responsive...all else is pretty much the same. My call log stopped working when I moved to 666....was hoping this update was going to fix it however..it didn't.

***Update: My call log is back ....I don't know when it happened, prob after a recent battery pull, so now I'm loving this update..

You can update from your device only if your carrier is the one who has made the upgrade official. Otherwise, no, you will have to use your pc to download, install, and then upload to your device (after removing the vendor.xml file).

I've had .723 since the day it was posted here and after extensive use, I have found at least two issues with it.

1) I'm unable to send camera pictures by email. It tries and tries then gives the red X. I try again and again, same result.

2) Bluetooth audio cuts out quite often with my VW.

I have now reverted back to a previous version and can now send camera pictures by email again. I'm assuming my second issue will be fixed too as I never had the issue before .723 but I'll check it out at my next opportunity.

I agree totally with above...
1. Bluetooth cuts out too much with my Blueant T1 earpiece, which gets really annoying when in the middle of a call.
2. Also have a memory problem in which Ive taken off 300+mb of files from both cards, restart phone and they are back again in duplicate. not sure if its the OS or not but will roll back and find out.
