I had a problem with my Torch the first 7 times I tried to install it when I realized that for some strange reason I found a third vendor file. I do not remember where it was though. Do a thorough search on your computer for it and then try to reinstall the OS. You should have no further issues.

I just installed this Os last night and it is phenomenal! Everything seems to run better. Previous to this I was almost considering a new phone due to lag issues (mostly with the browser) but now its all good

After upgrading to .706 my corporate mails (BES) are no longer being received as HTML, neither I see any setting to Turn Off/on HTML emails. (whereas my other personal Gmail/Yahoo emails are being received as HTML)
Anyone experienced this ? or any suggestions/settings to check/fix this issue... ? - 12-16-2011, 11:44 AM #184
I LOVE this update. Browsing is fast, battery life is better, I can access pictures straight away, media player works properly again. I could literally go on all night about how much better it is. Thanks for sharing it

Is a reboot the same as a battery pull??
How do,
I have just upgraded to .706 and all went as it should. I hope this fixes the Cut and Paste issues I had with the last upgrade. It always worked using the keyboard but almost never worked using the quick access touch screen buttons - but we will see!!
Anyway my question, since I leaned that Left ALT + Right Shift + Del resets the device I no longer do battery pulls as this procedure is simple, quick and saves making the back cover loose by constantly removing it.
I am however a little concerned that nobody ever seems to reference this procedure and always refer to a battery pull through the upgrade (and many other) processes.
Does anyone know if I am doing the wrong thing using this system? It seems to have worked well for me thus far.
Thanks
Any comments - 12-16-2011, 02:08 PM #186
You are doing nothing wrong. I have only used alt-sft-del to reset for years now. I have never taken the back cover off my torch in over a year since I bought it.

Module incompatible. [J:0x00000011]
The OS Loader aborted with following error message:
A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again.

The update file "net_rim_crypto.cod" for application "BlackBerry Crypto Library" is not compatible with the version of the application that is installed on your device. Delete the application from your device, and then re-install the application. Warning: If you delete an application from your device, you also delete any device data that is associated with the application.
Appreciate your help. RiM is dead... - 12-19-2011, 07:52 PM #191

Does any one have a bug related to the typing input? I always use Suretype, however since this update, sometimes when i open up a message to type in it will show the normal Suretype keyboard but it won't work properly. For example, if trying to type the letter W, I have to hit the QW key twice to get W.
Enabling the multitap keyboard, and then re-enabling the suretype keyboard has been working as a fix, but its pretty annoying.
Anyone know how to fix this? -

Just upgraded without any issues from 668 to 706 using Elite's instructions.

Used BB Boss to shrink it, and had two vendor.xml files to delete (Win7 64-bit).
