Just installed it last night. Passive consumption last night after roughly 8 hours took about 20% off the battery life. Not much difference there.
For me it doesn't feel smooth at all, there's small lags all over the place and the biggest bug is the fact that my wallpaper is gone in landscape mode. It's just a black background.

UPDATE: So I changed the wallpaper and it works fine now. Picture loading in the media section is a disaster though, long load times every time I even open the folder.

I got one major con on this OS and its that if I'm playing music on the phone and I get a new message (bbm, sms, email, etc) the music stops playing.... And that can't be at least for me, can anyone tell me if this happens too on ur phone? To see if its the software or, if its not ill reload, but I need to know Please

Updating to this OS won't reset BBM contacts or any specific information like that if you have backed up your bb right?

I noticed after installing this update, everything went much quicker, battery last longer and network signal better. However, I found one thing missing that is compose PIN message. I try to find anywhere but couldn't find it. Does anyone have the same problem with me? Or do I make a mistake when installing the OS? Please help, thanks.

Installed the OS update and everything works fine with one exception. I'm now unable to recieve e-mail messages. I've had lots of people say that they've had bounce backs from my account. What might be the problem here?

Since my upgrade, i am facing issue with Network Connectivity. It shows all 5 bars of network, and shows EDGE, but still when someone is calling, it is coming Switched Off. Very Surprising!!!

Does anyone else feels the same?

Am on Airtel, New Delhi, India.

Lol....everyone has different issues with the new software, funny thing is that I only got the issue I posted and no other, maybe if we all downloaded again and reistall fix the issue

I've been running .706 since Saturday with no issues. Battery is much better than .600. I'm going to stick with this one for a while.

Just installed .706. Booting on this build takes longer for me than .668. Haven't noticed any other difference in performance yet.

I have XP which had only one location for vendor.xml. I heard that win7 has this file as hidden. Enable display of hidden files and/or do advance search with include hidden files option.

I got this .706 installed yesterday. Didn't notice much of performance difference to say "WOW !!" (As others are saying). But yes some performance improvements are seen.

Battery life is 55% remaining after 12.5 hrs with 2-3 battery pulls done. Didn't face any issues so far. Only thing while doing Sync for enterprise activation, Sync failed for Phone history logs. Rest all worked fine.

signal strength is off and on... one min full back the next 1 bar

then i keep getting random reboots

nothing is on my phone except battle.net authenticator, bridge and rogers my account...

will downgrade to .668 to see whats up

Look on the first page and the post from Elite. There are Two vendors you Have to look for in windows 32 and windows 64

I too have Windows 7.
You Must do a search vendor.xml in your C Drive.

There may have hidden "vendor.xml" also need to be deleted. If you are using Win Vista / 7, check if there is a copy of "vendor.xml" under "C:\Users\<UserID>\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML\"

Ok I've had this update for a few days now. Works very well especially the browser! It has gotten much faster than before. All my apps seem to be working great too. Didn't have a problem with the install either. There was just the one normal vendor file in loader. Only problem I've encountered is the is no longer a compose PIN option in messages. Dunno if they took it out but I usually use it when I get a bad signal. Works better through delays. Anyone else notice this?

I had the same problem.

I had to call my carrier (ATT/US) and they reset my email. The rep told me it got knocked off the system.

Hey guys can someone explain to me how to add the arabic language from .666 os to this one. I've found three cods with arabic in them and pasted them in the new os (same location where i took the others from) and on installing it says it cannot install arabic as it does not have the application net.resource.platform.lang.ar? Sorry its not exact but i searched the entire contents of the os and there is no such file. Does anyone have a zip file of it that i can maybe use? I found one via google on this site but the same error occured.
