Kik For Blackberry (uncaught exception error)
Hi everyone. Up until last night I've never had a problem with my Torch. I downloaded Kik for the first time and got the latest version available.
Every since I downloaded it, when I click on the Kik app icon, I get a pop up that says Uncaught exception:java.lang.NullPointerException. After clicking OK, if I click the app icon once again, the app opens. Once Kik opens it goes straight to a "Required Permissions window. It says "These permissions are required for Kik to work on your phone, click "ok" and then "yes" to allow.
Network Connection: Back and OK
I click okay and another pop up appears and says: "The application Kik Messenger has attempted to access a low-level network connection. But it does not contain a signature. It might not be from a trusted source. Would you like to allow this?"
Yes or No
I click Yes and Kik app starts working, I can message my ONE contact I thus far have attained.
Now, say in the middle of messaging on kick, someone calls, texts, emails, or I need to jump on internet or my calendar or make a call...anything that requires me to exit the Kik screen. When I return to Kik again, guess what? I have to go through the uncaught exception error AGAIN plus grant permissions again. I've even found that when this is happening, if my Kik contact writes me, the message never appears even after being on the Kik app screen logged in for some time. Once I'm on the app screen messages come and go no problem, but once I leave I have no messages waiting on me when I return.
