I would like to upgrade from .248 to .448 on my torch. I have followed the cracberry app loader guide and downloaded and deleted the vendor XL file. Before I update, I looked on crackberry about installing on Windows 7, and there were numerous threads about bricked phones and problems. However, the threads were on storms and other older curves and os 4 and 5 devices. Do those problems apply to us Torch Owners?

Any other tips? Should I restart my phone before, turn of connections, etc?

I have Win 7 64bit Enterprise.
I have updated 3 Torches without any issues. My own Torch has been updated 4 times.
I dont change any PC settings. BT and Wifi stay on.
There isn't a problem.
