Default I killed my Torch :(

Well yesterday I killed my Torch 9800.

I was sitting at the dining room table and ended up knocking a cup of white hot chocolate all over the front of my phone. It was open so it got all in the keyboard and under the sliding mechanism. I tried my best to get it cleaned up but it was a lost cause. Rice was not going to help because of how sticky the hot chocolate was (and I didn't have any available to me at the time). My phone started restarting itself and eventually didn't turn back on at all. To make matters worst we were having a big party that night and half of the people couldn't get a hold of me! LOL. They showed up anyway and the party was a hit but the phone is dead!!!

R.I.P. Torch 9800 Feb 2011 - Jan 2012

On the bright side... I went out today and bought a brand new white Torch 9810!!! Yay!!! 24 hours without my BB was terrible!!!

How do you like the 9810 compared to the 9800 ? I may have to "accidentally" spill something on mine ! haha

LOL!

I really like it! The 9810 is a LOT faster then what my 9800 ever was! The keyboard feels different, but good different. I find the keys are easier to press.

Start up is quick; very responsive - no lag.

I can really noticed a difference from the 624MHz processor of the 9800 to the 1.2GHz processor of the 9810. The slight difference in the display resolution is also quite noticeable (or at least it is to me!). All in all I really like it!!!

I also have to add that the speaker on the 9810 is quite a bit louder than the speaker on the 9800.

I think your accident was actually an "accident" and why not. the 9800 is terrible compared to the 9810.
I think you just inspired my so my black 9900 can have an "accident" and get it replaced for free with a white 9900 <--- that's me bragging.

No it was a real accident!

I was holding out for a new BlackBerry with BBOS10. But there is no way that I was going to go back to my Curve 8500 until September... Or whenever the new BB's are released!!!

I just hope I can convince my hubby to buy me a new BlackBerry when they are released!!! Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

This made me laugh. I remember resisting change but when my old 8320 finaly died and I 'grieved' for it. Long live the Torch now, don't know how I ever coped without it!!! ☺
