Hello everyone! Quick question. I bought my Torch from Bestbuy Mobile outright without a contract. I'm going to be traveling to SE Asia in the coming weeks and need to have my phone unlocked. Before I buy an unlock code, is there a way to tell if my phone is already unlocked without having to test a non-ATT SIM card? Thanks guys and gals!

There, type mepd. If all lines say "disabled", then its unlocked.

Just for clarification if my device says these specific things:
    Sim: disabled
    Network Subset: disabled
    Service provider: disabled
    Corporate: disabled

That's means my device is unlocked. Correct?

Great info. I recently bought 4 used Bolds to ship overseas. Two of them were Verizon 9930s and two were Sprint 9900s. Using this info I just saved $20 because the Sprint 9900s were already unlocked.
