I was wondering if there is a way to remove or hide calender items from the notification screen?

No this is the default Today feature in OS6. Most other things that can report there have to be configured to do so by setting them to be seen in the "Messages" folder. The calendar cannot be removed.

If you don't want your calendar items to show just don't press the Notification screen and just go to Calendar itself.

What version of the BB OS are you using? Others have had this issue on .246 and haven't on later releases.

Edit: I was referring directly to the old text messages comment above mine. I should have quoted, my bad.

The only way I have found to delete old text messages from the notification screen is to do a soft reboot....ugghhh ! Has to be an easier way.

Open up ur calender and then hit the bb button and choose options. Then type wipe on the keyboard. This will erase all calender entries and remove them from the notification screen.

This won't hide them on the notification tray ( well it will...) but I don't think the OP wants to delete them, just hide them from the notification tray

A soft reset / battery pull will solve it. I had tons of these on OS.246. Since updating to OS.448 I have not had this issue... I can't guarantee that an OS upgrade will do it, but if you are still running 246 your carrier should have an update available for you...

    I agree.
In fact that, plus the inability to remove uninstalled apps from appworld, are my two biggest annoyances with my BB.
    Come on, RIM!
