Okay so I am selecting USB drive when I plug it into the computer but I still can view the folders I am just seeing the pictures. Now once I am into storage I have selected Media Card Support. Once I open the menu these are the options I get:
Switch Application
Show Keyboard
Safely Remove Media Card
Format
Repair
Save
Help
Close
So I don't know what to do or where to go from here

Let's be clear on this. When you say you only see pictures and not the folders, what are you doing? Are you using the media feature in Desktop Manager? If so, don't do that. Instead, use My Computer or whatever files explorer you have on your computer, such that your are looking at the drives on your computer. And be sure to select USB drive on the BlackBerry after you connect.

Do this and let's see where you stand. Hopefully you will see on the computer one or two new drives corresponding to the BlackBerry. If you don't, then we will go back and troubleshoot the mass storage mode setting on the BlackBerry.

I don't understand. Are you saying you do see a drive for the internal storage memory, but you don't see a drive at all for the media card?

Also, tell me what BlackBerry model number and OS version you are using so I can download and look at the manual.

It sounds like you are plugging in your BlackBerry, selecting USB, then trying to see the folders on your BlackBerry. (Why else would all those options come up?) After plugging in and selecting USB, you should look for the folders and the pictures they contain on your computer.

If you use the "Pictures" application on your BlackBerry, you won't see the folders, only the pictures. If you want to see the folders on your BlackBerry, you have to use the "Files" application. For either of these options, it's not necessary to plug in your BlackBerry.

okay, so when i open the blackberry choice on my computer i see a bunch of file folder that you can click on like a pictures and graphics folder but when i open them it gives you the message that the file is empty. Hence I can not see the pictures unless i use the blackberry desktop software. I have a blackberry torch 9800 and it is using OS 6.0 bundle 696

Also I am not looking for the folders on my phone when it is plugged into the computer. I am trying to find the folder that is hidden on the computer to make it visible or how to make the hidden folder visible through the phone

Do you just have one drive on the computer, or two? If your BlackBerry is a model that has internal memory for storage, you will see two, one for the internal memory and the other for the media card. If you are looking at the internal memory and you have not been using it, then the media folders will be empty.

Also, did you set the computer to show hidden files? If there really are files on the media card or on the internal storage, then you will be able to see them on the computer.

Another thing, when you look at your media content on the BlackBerry, using the BlackBerry, are you using the media player, or are you using explore to actually navigate from folder to folder? I'm starting to lose track of what we've already covered.

At any rate, if you are seeing the BlackBerry as a drive on the computer, then mass storage mode is enabled. We just need to figure out what you are looking at and why you don't see the content.

Real good point. Are you sure you're not looking at internal memory as opposed to the media card memory? Another thing. You can't use both (Desktop Software and USB mode) at the same time. If you're connected to Desktop Software, you'll see the BlackBerry as a drive in My Computer, but if you click on it, it will say please connect a drive.

Okay so I am not sure what you mean by two drives on the computer. But I am going to specify the issue one more time. I have a folder that I made on my phones media card and I hid it. I am trying to find it to un-hid it and make it visible again. I know the name of the folder and I know that it was on the sd card. When I try to do the explore option and show hidden the folder that I am looking for does not appear. However, when I am looking of the computer both in the blackberry desktop software and my computer pictures for blackberry the hidden photos appear. I want to be able to see the hidden pictures and folder that they are in on my phone again. So how do I find the folder name so that I can change the properties from being hidden to visible again. I hope that this helps and we can just start over from this message since that seems like it would be the easier thing to do.

When you connect your blackberry to the computer using the usb drive selection and use My Computer to explore your computer, you will see the media card as an installed drive. Let's say for the sake of argument that your computer assigns it drive letter J.

If your blackberry has internal storage memory like many models do now, you will see another drive. Let's say for the sake of argument that your computer assigns this as drive letter K. It would probably be different in your case, but let's assume this for now.

What we are saying is that if your are looking at drive K, you are not looking at the media card.

Also, as the other poster says, if you have desktop manager running you may not be able to open drive J (in my example).

That is what we mean by two drives. If your model does not have internal storage media then you will only see the drive assigned to the media card.

And do not run desktop manager while using the blackberry as a usb drive.

I understand. You said that on the blackberry you are not able to find the folder,.even when you turn on show hidden. My idea was to connect the blackberry to the computer as a usb drive, set the computer to show hidden files and folders, and then navigate around and find the folder, and set the folder to not hidden. Plus, once you see where it is, it will be easy to find when navigating the media card with the blackberry.

if you have a card reader and a microSD adapter, you could take the card out of the blackberry and use the card reader.

This is where we are not clearly understanding each other. I understand what you mean when you say you see those pictures when you use desktop manager and the media feature.

You also indicated that you see a drive for the blackberry when you use My Computer, but the media folders there are empty. The question is what are you really looking at. Is it the media card volume? If so, why are the media folder empty if they really contain files? Are all the files hidden? Did you set the computer to show hidden files?

The bottom line is you have a hidden folder on the media card. Either you just haven't found it while browsing the media card using the blackberry, or it is not there anymore. I don't have an explanation for the latter, except maybe when you see the images you are seeing cached thumbnails and not the actual images. I don't know.

But as I say, it seemed to me at the time that the quickest and easiest way to an answer is to explore the media card on the computer, either with the card in the blackberry in mass storage mode, or the media card in a card reader. This is where our communication has broken down.

It's USB Drive the option that you need to select when you plug your torch on your computer (that option is shown on your torch, not the pc), and then when you choose USB Drive, you will have 2 drive that will show in your "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer" (assuming you are on windows). The one drive that will be the internal one will be named (BLACKBERRY1) and the one from your media card will be name (BLACKBERRY), then you can open the drive (I'm always talking about My Computer or Windows Explorer, dont go on your phone), and then open Blackberry, then Camera, your picture should be there, or maybe you moved int in Blackberry/Picture, but anyway, that's what Ira tried to explain.

If your BLACKBERRY Drive is empty, guess what, your media card is empty, meaning that maybe it could be in your BLACKBERRY1 drive (which is the internal memory) under the folder home, and user, and then Camera folder (or pictures folder)

if you only see BLACKBERRY1 and not BLACKBERRY, and you are 100% sure you have a media card in your phone, that could be related to the first problem that we pretty much all had with our torch, from factory I'm not sure how they format the card but I saw a lot of people having issue seeing the media card drive on a pc, and they had to reformat the card to make it work (but don't do that until you backup your picture)
