Default Hidden Folder

Okay, so I am trying to find a hidden folder in my pictures. I know the name of the folder that was created but can not find it. I have tried the explore route and having it show hidden but is still not coming up. I know that the pictures are still on there because when I connect it to the computer I can view them from my blackberry desktop folder. How do I find the folder in my phone so that I can make it no longer hidden. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

So, when you view from the computer in mass storage mode or with tje card in a card reader and view hidden files and folders, you can see this particular folder, and thus it's location. But when you view this location with the BlackBerry and turn on show hidden, the particular folder is not visible? If that is what's going on, it doesn't make any sense.

Can you change the folder from hidden to not hidden using the computer? Have you tried this?

I can't see the different folders when I have my blackberry pluged into the computer. When I am on the computer it just shows me all the pictures that are on my phone weather they are hidden or not.

I take it you are talking about the view in Desktop Manager. Is that right?

If you mount the BlackBerry as a drive using mass storage mode you will see the complete volume, folders and all. If your BlackBerry has onboard storage memory you will see two drives, one for the onboard memory and another for the media card.

This is in the memory options on the BlackBerry. Make sure media card support is on, and mass storage mode support is on. Set auto enable mass storage mode to either yes or to prompt. Then when you connect the BlackBerry to the computer select USB drive. If you set the BlackBerry to prompt, then you will have to respond affirmatively to allow mass storage mode.

Ok, you are using OS 6. If media card support is checked, then it is on. Now open the menu and select enable USB mass storage. Maybe this has already been done, but do it again to be sure. If you have a password set, you'll have to enter the password.

Then, as I say, select USB drive when prompted when you connect to a computer.

Let's step through it because I'm not sure what you see. I'm assuming you are using OS 6. Open the device options. Then select Device, and then Storage. You should now be on the screen that I believe you referred to above, showing Media Card Support, and that option is checked.

Now, from that screen, bring up the menu. You should see options for Format, Repair, Enable USB Mass Storage, Enable Media Sync, and so forth. Select Enable USB Mass Storage. Enter your password if prompted. Then save your way out of options.

When you plug in your BlackBerry and get the three options "USB" is mass storage mode.

Yes. Mass storage mode is what allows you to connect the BlackBerry as a USB drive. But you will not see the BlackBerry storage memory or the media card as a drive if you select charge only or sync. You need to select USB drive. Then use the file explorer application on the computer and you will see the extra drives that are the BlackBerry.
