here is a break down of what i did:
1. wipe the phone using bbsak
2. install update using DM (update was successful and phone restarted and i was able to restore data)
3. i tried to uninstall some apps that get loaded by default with the OS but when the phone tried to restart it went into a 507 error
4. still in DM I once again clicked update and the process began again but this time the phone restarted with black screen and the LED pulsing twice with a pause and then repeating

i've tried to do the install like whats in the nuked 101 tutorial but the thing is the phone is not being recognized by the computer.

sometimes i get the computer to recognize the phone but the the update process hangs because i think the phone start 'tripping' again

please help cause its a friends phone and he has some important information that needs to be restored and we dont have a second bb to transfer the info in the mean time

Best thing to do is get it back to 507 first. I prefer http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...l_cmder-53502/ for that, but since it won't boot, you may have to just keep trying to load the OS via loader.exe with the battery out.

so i have been trying since last night where i am, and i get the loader.exe to start 2 times now out of the many times ive been at it. when i pick the apps i need and dont need and click next it brings me to the install window but then it gets stuck showing connecting ti boot rom (i dont remember what i says before but i click retry then it shows that im stuck at connecting to rom)

so i have another torch that im trying to reload the os on. the thing is with this one the dare thing doesnt wanna stay connected. it has the 507 error when its not plugged into the computer, but when i use apploader to reload the os it gets stuck trying to boot rom.

i think it might be some power settings because the phone is going back to 507 when it not plugged in and the computer recognises it when i connect it.
