Help. lights remain on

I plugged my torch 9800 in one night and the call, end call, bb button and back button remain lit. They will not shut off, locking or letting the screen dim. So, i fully chared it and they stayed on. I shut the phone off with the power button and they stay on even when the phone is off. I did a battery pull, let the battery die and did a reset and they still remain on. There are no apps running in the background. It is not affecting the phone, it is just annoying and drains the battery. Any ideas?

Did you get the device wet, even a little? Even something as slight as a sweaty pocket can cause problems. And weird key and button problems are classic symptoms of moisture.

If moisture is a possibility, you need to remove the battery and dry the device thoroughly. Sealing it in a a bag or container of dry rice for 5 days is a common method.

If it isn't wet, you can try wiping with JL_CMDER or BBSAK and then reload the OS. I have my doubts the problem is software, but tbis won't hurt and it will rule out a software problem.

Hey, I have the same problem... but i took my device apart and re-assembled it. You haven't come upon a solution yet have you?

I am probably going to take it apart again tomorrow to check everything... Taking apart this phone was not a good idea, so unnecessarily complicated...
