I love this new Torch but when I'm on a call it quicky heats up (8 minutes) to where it no longer charges and eventually shuts off. I returned the phone for another and it's the same thing. So, I'm thinking this phone probably has heat issues by design. I think I need to switch it out for another model. Which would be recommended seeing as I need to make a lot of calls:

    1) Curve
    2) Bold

    3) Try and work with At&t / RIM to figure out what's going on with the phone

    Thanks!

It's using a new battery that hasn't been used as of yet, that could be the reason as it's still rather untested.

at&t does give out batteries for free FWIW.

My physical device support center gives them out for free, even out of warranty. Now, that's not to say that everyone does this but the one close to my store does.
