    Default Gmail contacts are doubled

    Hi guys!

Today before making a call I opened the contact list, and oops!, I realized, that all my Gmail contacts are doubled! Actually, the phone has a "Default" contact list now with 0 entries, and a Gmail contact list with 200 entries, which is doubled, but only on the phone.
I have no idea, what happened, have you seen such issue before? I already did a wipe, but after a few hours of normal operation the contacts are doubled again by no reason.
    Any solution?

It happen to me too when I sync my bb with google. I just delete the contact that I do not needed anymore. There is a way not to have double contacts. Do a little search here and you will find for sure.

Are you using the Google Sync App on the phone or did you setup your Google Mail account through your phone carrier's BIS access website?
'Default' maybe an Outlook or BES/Exchange contacts. Are you on a BES.

    Just an idea...

I don't know if this will help or not, but it's worth a try... it helped me with outlook and PI duplicating contacts.

I can't see any gmail options, because I don't use gmail, but when I was using PI, that showed up in there.

    open DM
under device > select > delete data > selected data
choose gmail, gmail contacts, contacts for gmail, or whatever it shows for the gmail contacts
    delete data
    confirm
resync to your gmail and re-donwload contacts.

see if it comes in only once.

yep that google sync app gave me the same issues, so I deleted it. All went back to normal after that. But xobni is the best address book option I have ever had!

I'm on carrier BIS, I never had any Outlook sync or BES connection on my phone. The only thing I did was a password change after the PSN intrusion.

Just do a battery pull - should clear up the dupes (at least it did when it happened to me!)
