    1. when texting/writing a message with the slider down keypad the screen just shuts off and redirected to the top of the list in the messaging inbox.
    2. when texting/writing a message, for more than a line or a sentence, reciepients get is as broken text messages. like for example, they get it in 2-3 parts depending on how long text message sent. the thing is, the character count coming from my torch's text message not even goes over 1 whole message.

    hoping to shed some light.

    current ver is 6.0 bundle 695 (v6.0.0.246, platform 6.4.0.105)

    thanks!

I think he's right. .246 isn't that great of a build. Definitely upgrade to .448, if you still have issues post again and someone will try to help you.

    and for if you don't know how;
    How to upgrade:
Uninstall any OS currently on computer
    Install above OS onto computer
    Open Desktop Manager or AppLoader
    Connect BB
    Follow Instructions

Simple instructions here http://m.crackberry.com/blackberry-1...ting-system-os or even better if a bit more complex IMHO http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...-bbsak-570663/. The BBSAK method is my choice. No need to remove the vendor file. BBSAK allow you to choose the OS to install.

I think that you would do better with .448 here.

    Manual device OS upgrade instructions:
    1. First locate your carrier and the OS file you wish to use.
BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop and Device Software Download Sites
If you have AT&T, teh above will do you no good as they are stuck on teh .246, so try this one. Buy the way, it is an official upgrade from RIM

    You can get 448 here
    https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...FA661ED1244039

    2. Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion and unplug BlackBerry.

    3. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.

    4. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."

    5. use BBSAK from BBSAK.org and wipe the device (after doing a complete backup)
then after you get the error 507 (no OS installed)
(I didn't do step 5 and it upgraded fine so if you also skip it and it doesn't work, you know what to do)
    6. remove internet connection to PC and reboot.

    7. Plug in BlackBerry and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file was in.

    enjoy the new OS.
