Being a convert from bb9000 where I was constantly worried about memory loss I find myself still worried even though I have plenty available. I was just wondering how much people have free. My free memory is usually around 260. Is this a lot? What do others have? I'm interested to see.

294 here with lots of apps and themes.

I don't store much in terms of messages on the device. All media goes to the SD card. So long as the phone does not slow down all is well IMHO. Coming from a 9000 myself I am happy to stop worrying about memory issues.

I'm glad someone brought this up. I've been wondering for a while also....

I was also wondering how the phone decided where to put stuff. My Application memory is at 278.5mb (54%) and the Device memory is untouched (99%). I have an sd card which I only put some music and mostly pictures on (not any where near full).... when does the phone decide to put stuff on the device mem and not the app mem?

I myself have come from the Bold9000 as well and find myself checking back at the app mem every now and then on my Torch. I guess its a habit for all who have come from the Bold9000. Now i'm soooo happy that I don't have to worry about a stuck trackball or low on app mem or mem leak. Now that I have so much app mem I download apps like app mem doesn't exist. With tons of apps installed i'm now down to 273MB which I don't really care about. I feel like i'm spoiled with so much app memory now haha

27 3rd party apps and 6 themes, holding steady at about 250MB. Coming from the 9000 Bold it sure is great not having to worry about memory all the time.

You lose 4.6mb after using quickpull in the morning? I think I would be dumping that useless app. You do know that pressing alt + right shift + del and holding till a reset is the same thing as using quickpull? I just hate to see people using useless app when what the app does can be done in a simpler manner.
