FaceBook "Bricked" my Torch 9800
Awhile back I uninstalled FB as I was too lazy to go figure out how to stop all the notifications I was getting. Then I decided to reinstall it, and after it installed I got an error message "Uncaught Exception
java.lang.error" and there was no FB icon. So I deleted it and reinstalled it, and this time it made my phone reboot. No big deal I thought, except as it got to about 95% done on the black loading page the red light came on and it started rebooting all over. Endless loop. Crap. After searching on CB using a friends iPhone I found a helpful reference to BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife. Downloaded it and hooked the still rebooting phone to my PC via USB, and deleted every COD file with an "FB" in it. To my amazement it actually worked, and my phone is back in action. Does anyone know why a FB reinstall would do that and how to fic it? For the time being I'm playing it safe and leaving it off. Thanks in advance.
