I have been looking for a resolution to this issue for weeks. I don't remember activating the content proection. I have gone through the entire securities section and deactivated all of the security protocols...including the password protection. Please help because I cannot send emails to anyone whose address is content protected. The e-mail comes back as an invalid address.

Have you checked the settings, as in this article?

Also, have you tried a battery pull after making sure encryption is off?

Is it a company issued 9800? If so the content protection could be pushed to the device as part of the IT policy.

I started having this problem yesterday on my sprint 9650 running OS6. The only ones that are showing this are the one where where the Facebook app matched a contact to someone in my friends list.

Just came out of no where. any ideas? Numerous battery pills hasnt fixed the problem.

The links above all refer to OS 4.7 and variations of OS5. Nothing there about OS 6, or at least what those settings may have been renamed and where to find them in the new OS.

Just go into the Security settings and turn off encryption.
