Any idea of how much this will cost retail? I just started my contract in April so I am a LONG way from upgrade time.

Hi everyone,
I'm living in Dubai and have been tracking the 9800 for quite a while now. Still stuck with a corporate 8310 and have decided the 9800 is one worth spending my own money on. Anyway i understand the phone will be locked with specific American carriers for the first few months and as it usually takes forever for phones to make it here with our carriers, i was wondering if someone could tell me what the safest and fastest way to get an unlocked unit would be (once it's released there of course).
PS: Sorry if this is a bit off-topic but i thought this down time after Sal's latest videos would be best. - 07-25-2010, 04:46 AM

ok wow... hmm this is going to a useless post but it needs to be said...
it has taken me 3 days to get thru this thread (take an hour here and there) to read thru the USELESS posts from everyone... this was suppose to be a Q & A to ask Sal about the device, and all i have read so far is useless chatter between mostly lauren122688 and ..Fredo .... seriously if you want to chat, add each other to BBM and do it... out of the 1268 posts in this thread, maybe 100 are useful... (i know this one isnt totally useful but you get what i mean)
guys seriously give this a rest... let this thread be about questions to Sal and then Sal can answer them... and with the rate of people cahtting in there, no wonder people dont get answers... if i was Sal i as **** wouldnt want to read every single post to see if there is a question
jesh!
PS
congrats Sal about the merger...Check out my Theme blog

Haha see not everyone hates it, and if you noticed 99% of our chats are talking about the 9800... As it stands rght now your the only one with a problem
And we are also not the only ones, others get involved in the chat too

chatter it up - keeps the forum alive and interesting
- 07-25-2010, 11:20 PM #1273
my point is if you wanna chat dont do it in a thread that is meant for a Q&A... create a new thread that says "chatting about the 9800" i dont care... follow the topic... chatting about the 9800 isnt adding anything to the topic of this thread... when someone new joins the site looking for info on the 9800 you think he's going to go thru 85 pages of crap chat to try and find info... no hes not, i'd get to the 5th page and say to myself, screw this...
you guys apparently dont get point here... i agree the forums need to be kept alive and interesting, but do it in the proper threads where its wanted... and also like i said this thread was created to ask Sal questions about the 9800 and him answering, not saying "i want it now" <-- that is useless...Last edited by C_86; 07-25-2010 at 11:27 PM.

@ C_86 (see how that works to let you know you should read this one) - Pretty sure Sal has gone through and answered everyone's questions and then some.. He hasn't had any issues with us discussing the phone or other issues in the mean time in between his posts and neither have any of the mods.. You're making a point but take a deep breath and relax.. Plenty of people have jumped in asked questions and gotten them answered by Sal or any of the other people on here that know the answer to any and every question asked. Its actually quite simple to skim through a post and see if its pertinent if it isn't then on to the next one. Things like "@Sal or Hey Sal" have worked to get his attention. If you have a question ask, if you don't move on and save us from your whining because seriously your post is much more useless then people actually saying they want the phone that this thread is about. Or maybe you could go complain in whichever forum is set up for people who have too much time on their hands and feel the need to complain about things that really don't matter to anybody else.

@Sal, sorry for hijacking your thread to respond to something completely off topic from the Q & A you set up which has been great thus far. Keep up the great work! We're all anxious to see what you and BBLeaks come out with in the near future.
