Dude, Where's My Torch?

After confirming my registration for unlimited Exec 50+BlackBerry® Pro plan with unlimited HSDPA fortnight ago I am yet to receive my Torch. To rub salt into my wound ScreenProtector arrived first even though I just confirmed it few days ago, nota bad situation actually just a plain mockering of my situation
I even downloaded both .246 & .448 even though when I double click it it returns "Error reading setup initialization file" - arh, thank you
What a day .... what a situation....
p/s: I already wrote & rewrite couples of time on apps to download, finally: fb, smartguard, 4sq, 6tools, bebuzz, angry farm(wish it birds), eOffice, PhotoEditor & google. - 03-28-2011, 07:39 AM #2

i don't know how sprint customer service is, but i do know this...
everytime att screws up, i call them and let them know. (well, not everytime, but you know what i mean) on each occasion, they give me some credit. at one point (i can't remember which phone it was so long ago), i had so many problems, sent wrong phone, wrong case, dead battery, etc., etc., etc., they credited my first entire year.
call and talk to a supervisor. att calls it "escalate the call". they might compensate you for something... at least maybe you can find out what's taking so bloody long..............“The true victory of Nichiren Buddhism is found in transforming misunderstanding into understanding, conflict into trust, and division into unity through the power of the Mystic Law.” ~ Daisaku Ikeda, SGI-USA President

This has always worked for me in the past as well. If not satisfied with the customer service rep level response, I always thank them and politely ask to speak to their supervisor. If the CSR has been polite and tried to be helpful, I let the supervisor know and then restate the problem. Its amazing how things can get done by continuing to nicely "escalate" up the chain of command.

yeay ... at last I've received my beloved Torch. I am so happy ....

If you guys free please quick answer my queries:-
1. I'd like to delay the 'black out' its so quick, I'm updating updates and need to keep pressing the scroll button.
2. I accidentally installed app Poker something King whatever and I just delete after that. Am I right? I try to find uninstall button but there is none so I just press Blackberry logo for option and delete it instead.
3. This is not a question but rather agreeing to anybody who said battery pull is damn hard. Yeah, it is damn hard and I manage to scratch and burn few edges trying so. Damn!
4. Reboot and battery pull is just the same am I right? I mean if there is an option to Reboot Now, just play along, no need to battery pull?
p/s: should I return back the Bold or just play quiet .... :< - 04-06-2011, 03:32 AM #10

1. Options- display- screen display- backlight timeout- the most u can do is two minutes without running a 3rd party app.
2. Figure out where the app installed press and hold the logo, on the menu that pops up, select delete. Some apps require reboot to complete either install or uninstall. You can choose no, and it will finish the uninstall next tim the device is rebooted.
3. I read here that someone put a piece of tape on theirs, so I tried it. Got some blue painters tape, some sticky w/ no residue, folded one end on itself and left it protruding while taping the other end to the back of the battery. It's easy to get out now.
4. Yes. Battery pull and soft reset do the same thing.
