Combined inbox now appears to sync with Gmail
Anyone else noticed this?

Huh? What does "combiled" mean? What's syncing that hasn't before? Gmail has had two-way sync for quite a while now...

It's had two way sync but only from within its specific inbox, its now working from within the combined inbox.

Combined as in the "Messages" folder? Because I've had it for quite a while, like I said, and I have never used those separate email inboxes ever.

Yes, the combined messages folder. Deleted messages have never synced for me from inside that folder, only from each individual inbox. Originally Posted by ridesno159

My 9000 always synced one way with Gmail - anything done on my device would sync to my Gmail inbox. Never has it worked the other way - if I read or delete something on my PC Gmail Inbox, my phone never updated to reflect it.
Recently, I started getting the items sent from Gmail PC inbox on my phone - that was a nice addition.

Interesting... I just tested this on my Storm and it works just fine when I delete an email on my device, it deletes it pretty fast in my Gmail account on the computer.
Maybe someone else will come by and straighten this out for us...
I have noticed that sometimes it can take time for deleted emails from Gmail to delete on my device. This isn't an issue for me since I rarely view emails first on my computer.
But hey, if it's working for you now then that's great, just not sure if this is something new with the Torch.

I also notice that the combined messages mailbox has an option to group messages in threads by subject line. Was that an option in OS5 in the main messages mailbox? I don't recall seeing it except in my individual gmail inbox.

i also have gmail and yahoo pushing to my bb. however, i noticed that the deleted gmail messages (deleted from gmail site) gets deleted in the individual inbox (eventually, i think it took about 30 or so mins) but not in the combined messages folder. but deleted yahoo messages (deleted from yahoo mail site) gets deleted in both combined messages folder and individual inbox. is there really much of a delay in gmail or will it not get deleted in the combined messages folder?

I noticed this problem too. I checked my settings but all seem fine. When I delete email on my gmail on Ipad and Exchange, all my exchange emails get deleted right away, but not gmail. It does not get updated. I'm hoping there's an update for this coming soon.
