Cant dial numbers using physical keyboard

My physical keyboard is not dialing, instead it is using the keys as shortcuts. When a dial the number 9, instead it goes directly to my contacts. How can i change this setting???

do you use an aftermartket or custom theme?

i know in OS 5, you can turn "dial from homescreen" on and off in the options. i dont think there is this option in OS6. once you start typing the number, it goes right into universal search and it changes the letters to numbers automatically once it sees you are trying to dial a number.

Just dial what you would normally and right under the search text field there is a dial field and it shows the numbers you are dialing there. When you have finished typing just scroll to it and click on it or hit the send key.

it's very easy to fix this
go to
1. options
2. Display
3. Home Screen Preferences
you can see the drop down menu Application Shortcuts & Universal Search
Select the "universal search" and hit the back key and save it
Go to your home screen and dial what you want you can see numbers are there ))
