My BB Browser locks up pretty frequently.....actually had to trade in a phone due to this issue. No one seems willing to admit this an issue with this phone or this browser (officially, anyway).

Does anyone have advice on how to get the browser re-set when it locks up; OR does anyone have another browser that they would recommend that I could download to the Torch?

My browser never locks up. The question is what version of the OS are you running?

There are other browsers available(opera and bolt coming to mind), but neither work as well as the native browser.

6.0 Bundle 695 (v6.0.0.246, Platform 6.4.0.105)

Is that the most recent? Or do I need to update already....

That's the current official OS build and the browser should be working fine. If you are comfortable upgrading you can install 6.0.0.337. Do a quick search on this forum and you will find the instructions. There is a sticky at the top of this forum.

My browser locks up rather frequently too. I'm still interested in whether there is a way to kill the program when this happens?

^ Either wait it out or pull the battery. Did you update your device OS6 to .448?

Mine does to. I'm meeting my tech at 2 to upgrade it for me. Still tryin to decide what I want 448 or 450
