When I go on the internet it will work for a few min then it will go slow slow slow and finally say it can't connect or sever may be busy, etc. I don't know them word for word but there are two different messages I get. Anyway it happens over and over every freakin day and I'm becoming enraged. It always 3G at the top and always has the signal showing full (all the bars are there). I'm on ATT. Is it them or do I have too many apps? None of them run in background except the normal 5. I will be surprised if this post even posts, its really getting on my nreves big time! There's nothing wrong with the signal! I pull battery constantly and its not that. UGH thank you.

have been having the same issues....i tried the solution offered at http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...dex4.html...it involves changing the router setting to plain wpa...read a few comments down u will see what i mean...it has worked for the last hour with no issues compared to the thing freezing every 30 secs....crackberry should make that solution a headline...it might help the new pb buyers so they may not return them right away

shut your phone off, pull the sim card out then put it back. This will reboot the phone and you should be able to connect. This happened with both my boys phones (Bold 9700) it worked mfor them. Good luck.

Susie thanks I will try that with the sim! Mincanada, not sure what you mean yet but I will check that link. I don't have a computer at home and have wifi turned off since I never usE it and I thought it was using time searching for a signal, which there never is when I'm sitting on my couch. Funny its been working fine for about 2 hrs now at 3:30 am. It does seem to happen the most in the evenings after work and on weekends all day. Could it just be too many people on the BIS at once? I did find that thread about wifi and it was pretty much like a foreign language. I just use my 3G data plan all the time. I have heard of unlimited plans being throttled but I have a 2GB plan and get email notified when I'm 65 percent into it.

Do you ever clear out your history and cache? Or has this been how its acted since you gotten it? After you clean history and cache do a soft reset.

Yep I found it. I cleared the cache and history but not the passwords and the cookies. Shouuld I do the cookies too? It seems like it went a lot faster after that! I will know for sure tonight when is usually the time I have problems, but that just may have been the trick. Its weird because reading that post about the wifi problems, it wasa doing exactly like they described; working for a few min, then not connecting. Except I'm not on wifi. Sorry I didn't get back to you. I clear everything. Another thing I do is clear phone's memory with memory cleaner then a soft reset.
I'm glad it seems at the time to help. How did it work at the trouble times?

Well tonight I have had no problems at all (except with Amazon app froze the phone) so I think it may have done the trick! WOOP. Thanks a lot! Don't know what a memory cleaner is though. I will try to remeber to clear those things every so often.

I dunno how much use your browser gets. Clean it often if you use it a good bit. The torch came with memory cleaner. Check in ur app folder. If not there do a search for it. All you to is click it then you'll see it check of the list of things its cleaning. When finished it'll close out.

I found it and enabled it. And put a shortcut on the homescreen. The browser does get tons of use as I don't have a computer and just use the blackberry all the time, which I have been addicted to ever since I got it. Thanks, I never would have found that on my own.

Glad to hear it and your very welcome. Yea I thought you might be using the devil outta that thing. I have pcs but just don't use them to get on the net or send email. I use my BB for that. That being the case you'll find clearing your junk 1ce a day to really help out. I clear all my junk right before I put it on the charger. Good to hear your enjoying your torch.
