new BB user here. Just got the torch.

What I would like to do is get a bluetooth headset and be able to use voice dialing with it.

For safer vehicle usage.

Can anyone tell me if this is doable and recommend a decent headset?

I use the jawbone icon and it works great for voice dialing.

I have the BB HS-700 and can't voice dial with my Torch. Really bummed.

I have a Motorola H710 and it works for voice dialing. But unlike the Jack where I had to tap the headset twice before giving the voice command, I just tap it once before the voice command.

It works fine with my BB HS-500, and it absolutely should on the 700 as well.

Most BT headsets require a single- or double-click to launch VAD, but the BB ones require you to press and hold the main button area of the earpiece for a second or two until you've heard 2 "blips," then release the button.

The wired headset that comes with the Torch works the same way. Press and hold the button on that piece halfway up the wire to launch VAD.

i'm pretty sure voice dialing activation (or activating any feature for that matter) is dependent on the headset, not the phone its attached to.......

The BLUE ANT bluetooth devices work perfectly with voice dialing on my 9700
