Wow after reading it failed 4 outta 5 times during its diagnostics testing I'm sure its release will be no time soon. I hope the phone is wi fi capable since my tour isn't hopefully sprint rolls it out jus in time for my upgrade.

9900? the slider is the 9700A... And it's HSPA ready not CDMA... The 9900 code name refers to an horizontal slider and it was abandoned for the portrait one.
I'm not exactly sure how someone could consider the VERY real possibility that this phone is not only a GSM device, but rather a GSM and CDMA device "worthless info". I guess to each his/her own. As of right now, bbleaks has more info on this phone than anyone else, so I think his remarks are quite useful. So far, everything bbleaks has reported on this device has ended up on the CB home page. I bet it won't be too long before this information lands there as well.
its really hard to believe that they would be willing to call the slider the 9900 series. i really believed that the 9900 was aka the dakota. wonder what they will call that then- maybe start using roman numerals- blackberry dakota X. well, if sprint wins the sweepstakes of the slider exclusivity, i will be surprised. but anything can happen from now till its release.
