My bb 9800 torch wont turn on or charge. When I connect a usb cable a red light shows on the phone for approximately 10-15 seconds. The light does not flash but turns off after 15 seconds. When my battery is inserted into the phone a red light does not show up, the phone does not acknowledge the precense of the battery. I suspect it is also 'nuked' as when connected to the computer it keeps disconnecting. Naturally I tried to restore os through apploader but it failed at 'reconnecting to JVM'. What is the problem, how can I fix it? Could it be a dead battery?

If it fails to connect to jvm, disconnect and reconnect then click retry
