    I have a BB Torch 9800. I was browing the BB Application World and saw the BBMusic app. When it was downloading by BB just shut down and from that point on it has been rebooting continuously.

    It reboots until about 70%, and then starts rebooting all over again.

    I read this thread: http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101...ked-blackberry
    and tried it out, but the problem is once I connect my BB to the computer and see the USB-PIN:UNKNOWN, and click Next, I get to the next window and see all the apps, and hit the next button, but then I get an error:

    What should I do about this?
    (I have been unable to use my BB for 3 days now :-( )

    I also went to a carephone warehouse shop (where I bought my BB) and they said to connect the BB to the computer and update the BB Device Software, but I am unable to do this as it just pops up an error that software cannot communicate with the device (because the rebooting starts after completing about 70% of the process). I am really in deep trouble, please someone reply what to do (mostly how do I get pass this missing app for african language!!?? (which I don't even use), so that I can hit the next button!!)

    If safemode doesn't work, uninstall the OS from your PC before trying post #2, and you won't get the missing language error.

    Thanks for the quick reply! Could you please explain how to try out the saemode?

    How do I uninstall the OS from my PC?

    Safemode - pull battery, once reinserted hold the back button (one left of the red end button), wait till the phone boots, go to Options->Application List (type "ap")->scroll to BlackBerry Music->select and choose Delete

    Uninstall OS from PC - Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs->select BlackBerry Device Software->Change->Remove

    Very nice pictorial how-to of what I described. May I suggest an edit, warning not to have an OS other than what's installed on the phone, installed on the PC.

    God I am so glad I saw this. The last time i had this happen I ended up doing something else that had me using app loader and ended wiping the entire device and having to start over. I did the safe mode boot and deleted the Business Insider app and it then rebooted normally and all is well.

    Thanks so much
