BB Maps/Location not working. (pics attached)

BB maps is installed, easy to do. Downloaded the launcher and I can access it. But then the data inside the map is not loaded.

My data plan is OK. But this phone is from AT T so I can't contact my provider. If I switch phones, I can use BB maps on the same SIM.
I live in Dubai, have Etisalat.

The OS has been changed and upgraded many times, same result. I currently have the latest official firmware for Vodafone NZ. I even tried the Etisalat OS, but no luck. I deleted both vendor.xml files before loading and still, no luck.

BB maps used to work before, then I upgraded the OS and it disappeared (famous ATT problem). After that even with the launcher I can't get it to work. Some pics.

Please I'm dying to make this work again, as I work for an airline and this is the only navigation app that works on my plan

I have the exact same problem. Living in Serbia, every time when I open the maps app, the map just wont load! Just blank space.. Anyone knows the fix for this?

I take it you have an AT&T Torch? Because they removed or hid Maps for some reason on mine.
