Some of these items are just repeats of what's been suggested already, but here goes...
1. I don't understand what that even means. Mark all contacts? For what? And if they are all "marked", then what's the point. It's not like marking all messages as "read" since the number of which is constantly being added to, or something like that.
2. The list of contacts IS the manager.
3. There's an app (or several) for that.
4. Having been born as a business device is still evident by the fact that the contacts list shows only the name and company. But why do you need to see the number anyway, and which number would you show since many times you may have more than one number for a contact - such as home, work, cell, and even fax. Besides, hitting the phone button while on a contact will start dialing right away - unless there is more than one number associated with it, then the list of numbers will pop up letting you pick which one to dial.
5. Contacts on the SIM is virtually useless. It can only save a name and one number. Addresses, other numbers, email addresses and any number of other things you can save with a contact is lost when going to the SIM. Instead, use Outlook, Outlook Express, or even Google and sync all your contact info there where nothing will get lost. You can also sync back to any other mobile platform that way and avoid the SIM altogether.
6. What about the icons on the screen? They are all "shortcuts". You can copy a contact or browser bookmark right to the screen too.
7. I say "voice mail" too. This is set up through your carrier.
