So as a new Torch user coming from a 9700, I am curious for those of you who have used different OS versions on your phone. Which OS has seem to be the most stable while giving good battery life. I went straight to OS .534. The OS is quite stable, but man the battery seems pretty bad.
If there is an OS with a good battery, let me know. Also provide a link for a download if possible. Thanks
I found .526 and .534 to both be the best on battery life. However you may have to give it a day or two for the new OS to settle in and see that better life. Example my first day on them it was very bad but by day 2 or 3 I was getting great battery life. Also just switched back to the official .526 and very pleased with how my battery has been since the change.
I turned my phone on this AM just before 8 and at this moment at 12:09 tonight I am at 70%
Most days. I am anywhere from 30 to 50 after about 17 to 18 hour days with some calls (drains the most) twitter refreshing every 15 min. I think or whatever the quickest time is. Same for Facebook and use bbm a bit with tons of texting and browsing and most days using the MLB atbat app to stream pre games ect. Pretty heavy usage and only a couple of times hitting 20%

If you used hybrid, it would further enhance your battery. I am using DBZ V3 hybrid on base .534, it is amazing. touch interface is very smooth, very stable and battery is much improved than base OS. here is the link,

I had the opposite experience with the same hybrid and base. I was averaging about a 7% an hour battery drain. I'm accustomed to 3 to 4%.

I would say try using a hybrid. They always modify them to try and get the best battery life out of the OSes, plus more. If you don't want to try a hybrid, listen to other people as I always use hybrids.
I like .534 other than battery life. I know .534 was hard on the battery in my 9700 too. OS .480 works very well on my 9700.
My phone on .534 is amazing though. I have never had this good of a reception with my 9700. Scared to change OS & loose the great phone signal I now have.

Battery life was the only reason i switched to 534. Give it a couple days to settle in, i have yet to see drain above 5% on 534.
Remember a couple battery pulls also helps improve the settle in process and helps battery life.

Yes, I personally would agree that 526 and 534 have so far had the least battery drain. I am experiencing about 2 to 3 % per hour although this of course depends on personal usage. Previous versions were worse than this.
