Battery life
I haven't seen a battery life thread yet so I thought I'd start one
. So hows everyones battery life been so far on the first day? Report here and lets gather some statistics and see if theres are any big differences between what each of us are experiencing.
So far my battery life is't as great as my 9700's were but it may be too early to tell. - 08-13-2010, 12:28 AM #2
I got my Torch at 10am, charged it to full...and it's at 80% right now and I've been playing with it all day.

If you don't mind me asking... do you have any apps running in the background at all times?

the bat is very good on 3g i dont use 3g thou but its very good. ill report back again.

Just use your phone and charge it when you sleep!

Mine was only half charged when I bought it at 9am. I ran it all day without charging (except for switching devices on the computer). I couldn't stop playing with the phone, and I was listening to music most of my shift at work. Had to plug it in at 10pm. Not bad for out of the box charge!

I got my phone at 9AM, probably the first in Baltimore as the other AT&T store don't open until 10. The battery was 55% out of the box. I charged it only while settting it up with my PC. Played with it all day and went to sleep about 11. with the battery at 45%. Not too shabby for a BB.

ok i got full a full charge around 10 PM last night
used it for about 3 hours.. twitter, facbook, SMS.. then went to bed
it's 7:40AM and it still has 95%..
and i'm coming from a 9000 so this is really a BIG improvement in terms of batter y life - 08-13-2010, 06:44 AM #12
I charged it fully yesterday, as I was playing with it.
Loaded all my apps, looked around for a serviceable ring tone, etc....played almost nonstop all day....I'm at 20% this morning.

Charged full 815am hard user all day on this thing. Battery got red around 0:12am and was sTill going yellow light began to flash full works and on edge onlY switched to 3G when I needed it. I'm a very heavy user. On my 9700 I will still of had about half that. So I'm sure its the bigger screen. They should of kept the 1400 not this 1200 so its really half the power. Just got to wait for more powerful batteries to become available now. For the big screen and always on this phone I think it Held up well despite its. Lower capacity battery.
