Alright, I know that most people have probably complained about the battery life of their torch, but I also must complain that it does not do that well. I have to charge it every night or it will die. However I was wondering if anyone new that if I got a 1500mah battery for the torch, would it work alright and would it hurt the phone? I found this one on eBay but I am always skeptical to buy that stuff on eBay because it is always OEM and not always correct for the phone. Check it out.

    What do you all think?

Thanks for that, I didn't see that one. Apparently I suck at search. Anyway looking at that forum it looks tempting since it is a larger battery. But I am afraid that the conterfiet may damage my phone so I don't know. I would be willing to pay for a real battery but I cannot find one that is any larger than the original one. Do any of you know where to get one?

There is no after market extended batteries curerntly for the Torch. Normally Seidio would manufacture these but they currently have no plans in developing one for the Torch at this current time

Don't know how important 3g is for you vs edge, but if you set the torch to 2g (edge) only, you can get twice the battery life out of it. At least I know I can.

Let me try setting my Torch to Edge network instead of 3G and see what happens to my battery life.

that's what I'm currently doing and my battery has gone from 15% drain an hour to less than 2%. It lasts 2 1/2 days before it needs a charge, with pretty heavy use.

I only put 3G on when I want to browse the internet.
