    So I'm stuck at work and clearly bored.. Got to thinking, how cool would it be if the slider was spring loaded, and the screen would slide up with the push of a button?? I know this probably wouldn't help with some of the wiggle issues we're having, but in a perfect world I think it would be pretty slick!

    Thoughts?

    True. I think you could get around that with a recessed button though.

    There were some Motorolla iDen (Nextel / Mike) flip phones a few years ago that had sprind-loaded flip mechanisms with a button.

    I could see the utility of that in a flip-phone for one-handed operation. On a slider it would be more of a novelty and possibly annoyance.
