Hey guys, Ive searched for this but have yet to find a solution with OS 6

How can I set one sender's emails to be silenced (and turn off the LED for their emails as well, if possible) on my Torch?

I dont necessarily want to block them, just silence them.

Go into Contacts and select the contact you want to make changes to. Hit BB menu key and select edit. Scroll down to "custom ring tones/alers". Select "phone" and you can make it silent if you create a "silent" ringtone (I have never made a "silent" ringtone, but I would figure you could). Select messages and you can turn the LED off.

Would this apply to emails, from the looks it only applies to things like calls and sms?

EDIT: Just tested this out - didnt work

Did you set the alert for "Messages" under the Contact?

    Highlight a specific contact.
    Press the Menu button.

AWESOME, TY TY TY. i was actually highlighting "and" pressing contact view and then trying to find it on the menu? strange that you should only highlight and not actually "view" contact to see this function.
