hi, im from the uk on a the data plan and bb services works perfectly fine in the uk..

now im abroad ive turned data on and while roaming off. Im connected to a wifi service and i get like 5 messages every like 30 mins, no apps work also..nif i send a message it takes around a day to send and another to recieve a reply.. im connected to the wifi fine with the ipad and everything works.

i wann know if theres any other settings i need to do.. thanks

if u r connected to wifi, u shouldn't have any issues in emails.
set connection preference to wifi preferred or wifi only ,in mobile network options.

there's a trick to get calls and sms at local rate, if u get UMA from ur network ( Orange does) .
turn only wifi connection on ( mobile off ) and restart the phone, once it's up and connected , see if u get mobile signals with UMA next to signal bars. if that works, u won't be charged for calls or txts back to uk ( deducts from ur free mins).

* if nothing works, consider adding a travel bundle, it's quite cheap if u r in europe

I put my sim in my mums bb to see if that was the problem but turns out it wasn't.. So I put the sim back in my phone and there's nothing on the host routing table anymore, agh fml.. Is there any way to text my network as I can't ring them from here without being charged to getthe settings here?
