9800 shut off during call, no red light, no screen display......

during a call, it shut off, and is in constant reboot, no display, no LED.

i have tried the following:

-different battery from other torch
-soft reset (ctrl+shift+del)
-wipe with JL-Cmdr
-BBSAK won't connect
-Loader app from DM catches it during the rebooting cycle, it starts the process of flashing the newest OS, but once i reach the "reconnecting JVM", it never connects. i messed around with pulling and inserting the battery at different times, but after the first phase of flashing, it just reboots.

any suggestions? most of the time i read when people have the red LED flashing, it is recoverable, but this does not. if it is hardware, is there anything i can do? my carrier is refusing to repair without paying $200.
