Try keeping the slider closed and take battery out/put it in. During the reboot, does the screen work (keeping the slider closed)?

Assuming it does not, I'd guess hardware problem (and since you've just been changing things, you have to go back and keep fixing it. If the screen shows the boot sequence, then you might have a software configuration issue.

Yes If I close the Slider and reboot.....For the first 15 second or so the reboot screen appear then disappear….So if it is a bad contact this is weird!

Does anyone know which contact control the slider for open or close? or where it is located?

I was curious so I googled around. Some people have problems where the screen turns off when they pull out the screen - the opposite of your problem.

On this thread torch 9800 screen goes off when open slide [Archive] - GSM-Forum

The English is not clear but it seems like there might be a sensor that is not working properly. It might explain why the screen lights up at first- while booting the OS might not be able to check the sensor right away.

..."sensor near usb connector, small black and 4 pin"

Pure speculation: I wonder if it's magnetic and you dislodged a magnet on the slider part.
