9800 Screen Fault - Please help :(

Hi, my phone was working fine until sometime ago it did develop a fault. Backlight on the screen doesnt work, screen is noticable under a bright light (e.g.:Under a lamp) Touchscreen is working fine and everything else is working as well. I dont have a warranty on the phone anymore so decided to repair it myself. I am not sure which part to buy ? Shall I buy just the screen on its own or do I need to change whole entire front ? Please help Thanks.

It is much, much easier to replace the slider as a whole. I don't know where exactly the backlight is but removing the LCD is not easy.
