Exclamation 9800 nuked?

Hi
Hope someone can help me?
My Torch appears to be a little bit poorly
I got an update to BBM which I installed, then it asked for a reboot, which I did
Now its stuck on a reboot cycle

I tried to enter safe mode (to uninstall the problematic application) to no effect

Then reading this wonderful site, tried the fix here - http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101...ked-blackberry
But am unable to do so
(When I plug in the phone I do not get the option of USB-PIN:UNKNOWN
Its either blank, or I have my phone with its PIN number listed
Either way when I try to enter the app loader, the reboot sequence has started again and I'm again unable to get into the phone

I'm desperate to get this fix

Can anyone suggest anything else?

Please...

Hmmm.

Did you tick the box next to the select PIN on the app loader?

sad news for you
someone on another forum with same issue called rim, and theyve advised them no fix, and to take to their phone supplier, as it will need to be sent back to them for fixing/replacement
so off to carphone warehouse for me tomorrow
BB's are under 24month warranty in UK

Same happened to me, was not a happy camper. I have BBSAK loaded on my laptop. It recognized the phone while it was trying to reboot. I did an app backup, then ä wipe, and reloaded the OS. My 9800 works now. Sucks to lose everything but I just recovered through BB Protect and got my contacts back that way.
Oh, and BBSAK = Blackberry Swiss Army Knife. Its free and is easy to use. Just google it and you will find the website. Hope this helps.
